Welcome to the Morning Worship at College Heights Baptist on August the twenty-eighth, 2022 service begins at 10:30 AM Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. R. F. SAMPLE Calendar for this week Today 9:15 am Bible Study Classes 10:30 am Morning Worship live and online Nursery is provided during worship for preschool-aged children. Wednesday 9:30 am Ladies Bible Study via Zoom 6:30 pm Conversational English Registration Announcements, etc. Deacon Election Today is the last day to submit your deacon ballots. You can drop them off at the office (an envelope is provided on the desk). “Covered in Prayer” Ladies, please mark your calendars for September 10, 2-4 pm. We will be meeting in the sanctuary to hear Sara McElroy speak to us on prayer and hear testimonies of how God has answered prayer as only He can do. We will also be making blankets for Life Choice Ministries. Come prepared to be inspired and equipped in your prayer life! When the church fails to break the cultural barrier, both sides lose. Those who need the gospel message of hope and the reality of love, don’t get it, and the isolated church keeps evangelizing the same people over and over until its only mission finally is to entertain itself. It was dusty, dirty, and in a beat-up frame. He sold it at a yard sale for two bucks – and good riddance. Lo and behold, it was a masterpiece and the purchaser resold it for several million dollars! There is a similar story about an old violin that was sold for a few dollars and turned out to be a Stradivarius worth millions. I wonder how many of God’s blessings to us we miss because they are not “packaged” just as we expect or desire. Maybe, if we set some of our biases aside, we might find that God is speaking and revealing himself to us more than we ever imagined. We pray for blessings, but perhaps, we miss them when God answers in ways contrary to our expectations.
